Final Idea

The plot for our thriller opening sequence will most likely stay the same as our pitch audience felt that it was very interesting and unique. The main criticism that we received was that we should include more content that would appeal to the female target audience as well as males. We might try and include a female character to make the opening sequence relatable for women however, our primary target audience is males aged 26-40 because our survey audience said that the thriller genre would appeal to this gender and age range the most and we agreed.
In order to appeal to the target audience of men aged 26-40, we will ensure to use a variety of interesting camera angles to grip the audience and also make the protagonists personality very likable and relatable to the male target audience. Also, the way in which we will cross cut between two locations will build tension well and make the opening sequence more dramatic which will appeal to the male target audience well.
We will be making very few changes to our plot and locations as our pitch feedback audience felt they were very interesting and suited the thriller genre well. The one change that we have considered is that we might not make the protagonist walk through a busy city to the final location. Instead we will have the protagonist drive there instead because we need to keep the opening sequence short and so the walking scene would be unnecessary. The audiene also liked the way in which we portrayed our protagonist as intelligent with a sinister element about him as they felt it would appeal to our target audience.
The most difficult scene we will have to film will be the kidnapping scene as we will need it to look realistic which could be difficult. We will also need to find someone willing to go into the boot of the car for one shot which could again be quite challenging but also amusing.
